When I worked as an Administrative Assistant, one of the best weeks of the year was Administrative Appreciation week. Not only did it always seem to catch me off guard, but it was the time when all of the people I worked with would make an effort to show the Administrative staff how grateful they were for all their hard work.
Honestly, it made me feel special each and every time it came around. Which is why I think we should try something similar this week.
Encouragement Challenge: Appreciate and Smile
It might be just a random week in March, but that makes it the perfect time to prioritize someone who wouldn’t expect it.
In the midst of achieving our goals, managing our finances, and keeping up with our daily to-do list, it’s easy to forget those around us.
In this case, we are going to focus on a teacher, educator, mentor, or someone else that has played the role of influencing your life. It could be a leader from your ladies group at church, someone that’s older than you but always offers much-needed advice at just the right time or anyone in leadership around you.
Have someone in mind?
If you can’t come up with anyone that influences you directly, then help your child bless their teacher or mentor (or do both?).
Once you’ve picked the person, it’s time to determine how you can bless them and help them to know how much they mean to you. You could choose to give them a gift card to their favorite coffee spot, spend some quality time with them (if it’s appropriate), or create a handmade gift that you know they’ll use and love. Honestly, the options are endless, so I’ll leave it up to you to decide which course of action is the best.
Leave Them Smiling
Who knows, maybe when you get started with this, you’ll find a couple of other people you’d like to include as well?
It’ll all be worth it when you get to see the smile on their face!
